Florida's Tabor continues to taunt Tennessee

Florida cornerback Teez (formerly known as Jalen) Tabor managed to poke Tennessee even harder Thursday, a month after he tweeted there's "no doubt" the Gators will beat the Vols this season for the 12th straight time.

In an appearance on the SEC Network's "The Paul Finebaum Show," Tabor was given the opportunity to take back the tweet. Instead, he emptied a can of fuel over the proverbial fire.

"It's just certain things that happen every year, every day," Tabor told Finebaum, according to Thomas Goldkamp of 247Sports. "Just like you have your show on SEC Network at a certain time every day, just like the fourth weekend in the fall when the Gators play the University of Tennessee. It's been the same thing happening for 11 years. I mean, the greatest indication of the future is the past."

Tabor didn't stop there, adding that he doesn't understand the hype surrounding the Vols, who are a sexy pick to win the SEC East for the first time since 2007.

"I know I'm just a player but I really don't see it. Tennessee has come close two years in a row, but close only works in horseshoes."

Earlier in the offseason, Tabor's teammate and Gators linebacker Jarrad Davis said Florida's annual tilt with Tennessee is "one of the funnest games every year" because the Gators always win.
