The U.S. men's Olympic basketball team may have looked shaky in its qualifying-round matchup against Venezuela, but New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony looked his old self on Monday night.

By nailing a baseline three in the second quarter, Anthony passed Michael Jordan for third all time on the U.S. men's Olympic scoring list.

Now at 262 career points, Anthony needs just 11 more points to pass his friend and former international teammate LeBron James for No. 1 all time in U.S. men's Olympic scoring - a mark he will almost certainly reach in the coming days.

Should he win another gold at Rio this summer, Anthony will surely go down as one of the most decorated players in USA basketball history, having already earned Olympic gold in 2008 and 2012.
