What would the Suicide Squad look like if it was made up of NFL stars?

With the supervillains of the "Suicide Squad" set to make the leap to the big screen, it's the perfect chance to imagine how Task Force X would look if it was comprised of NFL stars.

Here are five NFL personalities that can be compared to the members of the anti-hero unit.

Deadshot - Drew Brees

Deadshot is the world's deadliest assassin thanks to his unparalleled accuracy, which allows him to take down his enemies without the help of any superpowers. Brees, too, lacks any outstanding physical traits, but his unrivaled precision - he completed an NFL-record 71.2 percent of his passes in 2011 - allows him to lay waste to all opponents that stand before him.

The Joker - Cam Newton

Unlike Joker, Newton has been able shed the "villain" tag he was given early on in his career - not that the Clown Prince of Crime would ever want to. The Joker and the NFL's reigning MVP share a signature grin, a love for the theatrical, and both perform best when plans - or plays - go off script.

Harley Quinn - Joe Thomas

Quinn and Thomas may be polar opposites to look at, but they actually share one defining similar trait: Loyalty, even to their own detriment. The Joker turned Quinn from a promising psychiatrist into his puppet and Thomas' Hall of Fame talent was wasted by the hopeless Browns. However, both remain steadfast in their dedication to people who don't value or deserve them.

Killer Croc - Adrian Peterson

The comic book version of Killer Croc is an 8-foot monster. The movie version has been scaled down to the size of a regular man, but still has superhuman strength. Peterson isn't the league's biggest player, but the way he shrugs off his opponents, he may be its strongest. Peterson also appears to have regenerative powers like Croc, as evidenced by his miraculous recovery from a torn ACL.

Rick Flag - Tom Brady

Like Flag, Brady is the ultimate leader, a master tactician, and leads a squad with questionable morals. Both aren't afraid to get their hands dirty in order to survive, but neither sees themselves as villains - even if many do thanks to their associates.
