Washington Redskins superfan Zema Williams has died, the team confirmed Tuesday.
"Chief Zee" began attending Redskins games in 1978 dressed in Native American attire, and was a staple at RFK Stadium and then FedEx Field on Sundays.
"The Washington Redskins will always appreciate Zema Williams' unique passion and dedication to our football team and his fellow Washington Redskins fans," the team said in a statement.

Williams, whose health has been failing of late, according to NBC Washington, was evicted from his home in April, but supporters helped raise money online so he could stay put.
Fans held a vigil for Williams on Tuesday night at Redskins park.
