Ibrahimovic responds to Cantona: 'I will be God of Manchester'

The King of Manchester may be Eric Cantona, but the God has arrived.

Refusing to be called a prince at Old Trafford, Zlatan Ibrahimovic one-upped Cantona in an interview with Swedish outlet Aftonbladet.

The Frenchman - long known as the King of Manchester during his five-year stint with the Red Devils - wasn't willing to name the Swede his heir, apparently.

"I admire Cantona and I hear what he said. But I won't be King of Manchester. I will be God of Manchester," Ibrahimovic said, courtesy of Sky Sports.

Cantona offered the 34-year-old his famous No. 7 in a Eurosport special, and hailed the move as the "best choice" for the former Paris Saint-Germain man.

Ibrahimovic could be available for the club's preseason trip to China next week.
