Italian striker Graziano Pelle leveraged an impressive showing at Euro 2016 into a hefty new contract, as Southampton announced Monday that the 30-year-old has left the club for the riches of Chinese Super League side Shandong Luneng.

Pelle, who joined Southampton from Feyenoord in 2014, made 81 appearances for the Saints, scoring 30 goals.
Though a transfer fee was not disclosed, multiple reports suggest Southampton will receive £13 million in the deal.
Pelle becomes the third marquee contributor to leave Southampton this summer, joining Sadio Mane (Liverpool) and Victor Wanyama (Tottenham) in what is becoming an important transitional month for the club.
At Shandong Luneng, managed by German Felix Magath, Pelle will join forces with another former Premier League striker, as the ambitious Chinese side completed the signing of Papiss Cisse from Newcastle last week.
