The Tampa Bay Rays are drawing plenty of interest from teams looking for starting pitching, though no offers for right-hander Chris Archer have even begun to scratch the surface in what they're potentially looking for in a return.

"They have some comedic value," one Rays official told Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports when asked if any offers for Archer have been worth considering.

The 27-year-old was a first-time All-Star and finished fifth in AL Cy Young voting in 2015 but has struggled mightily this season. His 13 losses are the most in the majors and his 4.68 ERA is the worst of his career. Still the Rays haven't shown much indication that they're willing to deal Archer, who is comfortably under contract through the 2019 season with a pair of team options.

Tampa Bay is however, expected to deal at least one of its starters. The Texas Rangers have shown interest in Matt Moore, while the Los Angeles Dodgers discussed Erasmo Ramirez last month. Jake Odorizzi and Drew Smyly have also garnered attention.
