If there's anyone who understands what Matt Harvey is going through right now, it's Phil Hughes.
After it was announced the New York Mets' right-hander would elect to undergo surgery to address his thoracic outlet syndrome, Hughes, who underwent the surgery this week, poked fun at the matter.

Hughes had a rib removed to relieve pressure on the nerves and blood vessels underneath, marking the end of his 2016 season, as well.
Despite the awful news, the Minnesota Twins right-hander is in good spirits.
Out of surgery and resting comfortably with 1 less rib than I showed up with. Thank you all for the support 🍖 pic.twitter.com/F41vi6aFKY
