West Bromwich Albion is apparently nearing completion of a £5.5-million deal for Queens Park Rangers winger Matt Phillips.
The 25-year-old was left out of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink's squad's pre-season tour of the Netherlands while talks are thrashed out between Phillips and the Baggies, according to Sky Sports' Rob Dorsett.
Phillips progressed through the youth ranks at Wycombe Wanderers before being picked up by Ian Holloway at Blackpool. He spent three years at the seaside town before moving to Loftus Road in 2013.
Last season was particularly fruitful for the English-born Scotland international, with Phillips fashioning eight goals and five assists over 44 Championship appearances. He's now expected to move to the Black Country upon completion of a medical.
Phillips could be part of an exodus from QPR following news of Leroy Fer's impending transfer to Swansea City.
