Report: Lakers, Black agree to new 2-year deal

The Los Angeles Lakers and free-agent center Tarik Black have agreed to terms on a two-year deal worth $12.85 million, according to The Vertical's Shams Charania.

Black averaged 3.4 points and four rebounds on 54.8 percent shooting in 39 appearances with the Lakers this past season, logging just under 13 minutes per game.

The 24-year-old split the 2014-15 season between the Lakers and Houston Rockets after going undrafted following his senior year at Kansas.

The Lakers opened their free agency spending by lavishing a reported four-year, $64-million contract on center Timofey Mozgov and have 2015 first-round big men Julius Randle and Larry Nance Jr. under contract, though Black could find himself a role as a reserve center.
