Chelsea's Ake to spend 2016-17 season on loan with Bournemouth

Chelsea announced Wednesday that promising young defender Nathan Ake will spend the upcoming season on loan with Bournemouth.

After spending last season on loan with Watford, the 21-year-old will call Dean Court home for the upcoming season with hopes Ake can replicate the form that saw him win the team's Young Player of the Year award last year.

Ake joined the Chelsea youth system in 2011 from Dutch side Feyenoord.

He made his senior debut in 2014, but has spent most of his time out on loan with Reading and Watford.
