Report: Durant expected to meet with Clippers in New York
Kevin Durant is expected to conduct his free agent meeting with the Los Angeles Clippers in New York City, according to a source of the Los Angeles Times' Ben Bolch.
It was first reported Friday that the Clippers - in addition to the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, Oklahoma City Thunder, Boston Celtics, and Miami Heat will meet with Durant sometime after free agency commences at midnight ET on Friday.
The New York angle is interesting however as it had been previously reported that Durant would meet with suitors in Los Angeles. Given that the Clippers play in L.A., a cross-country venue shift raises the question if he plans on conducting all of his interviews in New York.
Gotham's own team, the Knicks, are still reportedly confident that they can land a meeting with Durant even though they were not one of the six teams originally reported to be involved.
