Gonzalez wears Mexican-themed suit on Dodgers travel day

When Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told his players to spiff up for their upcoming road trip, Adrian Gonzalez took it to heart.

Instead of dressing in a normal suit, he decided to pay tribute to his Mexican roots.

The outfit is something he's proud of, and he thoroughly understands the threads he's wearing.

"All the silver is handmade, custom made. There's a lot of detail," he said in an interview with AM 570 LA Sports. "All the buttons are baseball, all the little hanging things are baseball bats. It gots my initials. It's definitely extremely well made, a lot of fine detail went in to it."

Gonzalez has been struggling at the plate over his last 10 games, failing to register a home run and batting .222/.237/.278 over that stretch.

The Dodgers will take on the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday afternoon.
