Offensive Line Rankings
32-21 | 20-11 | 10-1
10. Washington Redskins

Pos. | Starter |
---|---|
LT | Trent Williams |
LG | Spencer Long |
C | Kory Lichtensteiger |
RG | Brandon Scherff |
RT | Morgan Moses |
Depth: Arie Kouandjio, Shawn Lauvao, Ty Nshkhe, Austin Reiter, Josh LeRibeus
Washington's line doesn't feature any stars outside of Williams, but it has managed to sneak into the top 10 with solid play overall. Scherff's transition to guard was an instant success and helped lock down the right side with Moses. The team now needs Long, Lauvao, or Kouandjio to emerge as a reliable left guard.
9. Atlanta Falcons

Pos. | Starter |
---|---|
LT | Jake Matthews |
LG | Andy Levitre |
C | Alex Mack |
RG | Chris Chester |
RT | Ryan Schraeder |
Depth: Mike Person, Tom Compton, Bryce Harris, Wes Schweitzer
Atlanta's offensive front exceeded expectations in its first season running a zone-blocking scheme. The addition of a Pro Bowl talent in Mack should ensure that the progression only continues heading into the fall.
8. Carolina Panthers

Pos. | Starter |
---|---|
LT | Michael Oher |
LG | Andrew Norwell |
C | Ryan Kalil |
RG | Trai Turner |
RT | Mike Remmers |
Depth: Gino Gradkowski, Daryl Williams, David Yankey, Chris Scott, Donald Hawkins
Led by the strong play of their interior core, the Panthers' line exceeded expectations in 2015. Kalil, Turner, and Norwell were dominant throughout the year, but there's room for improvement on the edges, especially at right tackle.
7. Arizona Cardinals

Pos. | Starter |
---|---|
LT | Jared Veldheer |
LG | Mike Iupati |
C | A.Q. Shipley |
RG | Evan Mathis |
RT | D.J. Humphries |
Depth: Evan Boehm, Earl Watford, John Wetzel, Antoine McClain, Cole Toner
An offense stacked with talent at the skill positions finally has a front five capable of leading the way. Veldheer and Iupati remain an imposing tandem entering their second year together and Mathis was a major free-agent upgrade on the left side. Humphries making good on his first-round draft status is the X-factor here.
6. New Orleans Saints

Pos. | Starter |
---|---|
LT | Terron Armstead |
LG | Tim Lelito |
C | Max Unger |
RG | Andrus Peat |
RT | Zach Strief |
Depth: Senio Kelemete, Tyrus Thompson, Landon Turner, Cyril Lemon, Ryker Matthews
Outside of a competition at left guard, the Saints have four potentially above-average starters in place. Unger has anchored the group since coming over in the Jimmy Graham trade, Armstead is rock solid on the left side, Strief is declining but still holding his own and Peat is a first-round tackle talent hoping to establish himself at guard.
5. Philadelphia Eagles

Pos. | Starter |
---|---|
LT | Jason Peters |
LG | Allen Barbre |
C | Jason Kelce |
RG | Brandon Brooks |
RT | Lane Johnson |
Depth: Stefen Wisniewski, Matt Tobin, Andrew Gardner, Isaac Seumalo, Barrett Jones
Few know what to expect from the Eagles' offense in the first year without Chip Kelly, but strong offensive-line play will continue to give the unit an advantage in many ways. Peters, Kelce, Brooks, and Johnson are all high-level starters. Wisniewski should be given every opportunity to earn the left guard job.
4. Cincinnati Bengals

Pos. | Starter |
---|---|
LT | Andrew Whitworth |
LG | Clint Boling |
C | Russell Bodine |
RG | Kevin Zeitler |
RT | Cedric Ogbuehi |
Depth: Eric Winston, Jake Fisher, Christian Westerman, T.J. Johnson, Alex Redmond
The Bengals were well prepared for the loss of Andre Smith in free agency after they drafted Cedric Ogbuehi and Jake Fisher in 2015. Ogbuehi is the early favorite to take over at right tackle, as he tries to live up to the standards set by the elite core of Whitworth, Boling, and Zeitler.
3. Oakland Raiders

Pos. | Starter |
---|---|
LT | Donald Penn |
LG | Kelechi Osemele |
C | Rodney Hudson |
RG | Gabe Jackson |
RT | Austin Howard |
Depth: Menelik Watson, Matt McCants, Jon Feliciano, Vadal Alexander, Denver Kirkland
Oakland's focus on building from the inside out has been made abundantly clear. A group that was already among the league's best takes another massive step forward with the big-money addition of Osemele. This unit could challenge for the top spot if Penn recaptures his level of play from early in 2015.
2. Green Bay Packers

Pos. | Starter |
---|---|
LT | David Bakhtiari |
LG | Josh Sitton |
C | Corey Linsley |
RG | T.J. Lang |
RT | Bryan Bulaga |
Depth: Jason Spriggs, JC Tretter, Don Barclay, Kyle Murphy, Lane Taylor
Injuries have been the biggest challenge for the Packers' offensive line, as several starters have gone down in recent years. When healthy, this is the second-best front-five in the league with the very underrated guard duo of Sitton and Lang being a major reason for their success.
1. Dallas Cowboys

Pos. | Starter |
---|---|
LT | Tyron Smith |
LG | La'el Collins |
C | Travis Frederick |
RG | Zack Martin |
RT | Doug Free |
Depth: Ronald Leary, Joe Looney, Charles Brown, Chaz Green, Jared Smith
This almost isn't fair. With Smith, Frederick, and Martin, the Cowboys have three players in the conversation for tops at their respective positions. Collins was a first-round talent in last year's draft, and Free has long been a strong starter on the right side. Ezekiel Elliott couldn't have landed in a better situation.
