Euro 2016 bids farewell to Will Grigg, Northern Ireland's unused cult hero
So long, Will Grigg. We hardly knew you - and still don't actually know if you exist.
The Northern Ireland striker became a legendary figure during Euro 2016, the catchy "Will Grigg's On Fire" tune capturing the hearts not only of his nation's supporters, but of football fans throughout France.

Problem is, the 24-year-old Wigan striker didn't play a minute in the competition. That didn't stop Northern Irish fans from belting out the the instantly popular song, as the chant became the team's unofficial anthem at the tournament.
With Michael O'Neill's men ousted from the competition at the hands of Wales on Saturday, social media paid tribute to Grigg, who became a cult hero without stepping foot on the pitch.
