Here are theScore's catcher value rankings for Sunday, June 19 (all stats exclude Saturday's games):

Value Rankings
C | 1B/DH | 2B | SS | 3B | OF | SP

Top Options

Name Opponent Value
Buster Posey (SF) at TB 8
Derek Norris (SD) vs. WAS 7
Russell Martin (TOR) at BAL 7
Brian McCann (NYY) at MIN 7

Free to DH in an American League park, Posey is in the midst of a strong stretch, with nine hits and five runs scored over his last four games, and at least one in each. He's also priced comfortably below the costliest options at the position.

Norris is worthy of a flier against the erratic Gio Gonzalez. Norris' offense has begun to pick up, with three home runs and four multi-hit games in his last 10.

The same can be said of Martin, who has scored a run in six straight games, while also providing an RBI in all but one of those contests. Lefty-batting McCann is always a threat at home, particularly against a homer-prone RHP like Ervin Santana.

Mid-Tier Targets

Name Opponent Value
Willson Contreras (CHC) vs. PIT 7
Ramon Cabrera (CIN) at HOU 7
Cameron Rupp (PHI) vs. ARI 7
Yadier Molina (STL) vs. TEX 7
Salvador Perez (KC) vs. DET 7
Evan Gattis (HOU) vs. CIN 6
Wilson Ramos (WAS) at SD 6
Stephen Vogt (OAK) vs. LAA 6
James McCann (DET) at KC 6
Jarrod Saltalamacchia (DET) at KC 6
Matt Wieters (BAL) vs. TOR 6
Welington Castillo (ARI) at PHI 6
Robinson Chirinos (TEX) at STL 6
Chris Herrmann (ARI) at PHI 5
Carlos Perez (LAA) at OAK 5
J.T. Realmuto (MIA) vs. COL 5
Yan Gomes (CLE) vs. CWS 5
Nick Hundley (COL) at MIA 5
Kurt Suzuki (MIN) vs. NYY 5
Yasmani Grandal (LAD) vs. MIL 5

Should Saltalamacchia draw into the lineup, he'll like his home run chances against Chris Young, who is tied for tops among all pitchers with 18 long balls allowed.

Herrmann is among the priciest hitters regardless of position of some sites ahead of a meeting with Phillies rookie Zach Eflin, who allowed three home runs and nine runs overall in just 2 2/3 innings to the Blue Jays in his MLB debut last week. Though Herrmann has been solid in a part-time role, the outlay is likely a bit much for a relatively unproven catcher.

Nothing to See Here

Name Opponent Value
Alex Avila (CWS) at CLE 3
Curt Casali (TB) vs. SF 3
Christian Vazquez (BOS) vs. SEA 3
Chris Iannetta (SEA) at BOS 3
Miguel Montero (CHC) vs. PIT 3
Kevin Plawecki (NYM) vs. ATL 3
Chris Stewart (PIT) at CHC 2
A.J. Pierzynski (ATL) at NYM 2

Batting just .200, Montero's offense has been largely ineffective this season, and could well give way for the aforementioned rookie Contreras to make his first career start. Contreras is at the minimum price on some sites, and was hitting .353 in Triple-A at the time of his call-up.
