Neymar's former agent: 3 big clubs willing to pay €200M release clause
Neymar is perfectly happy at Barcelona, but that won't deter a trio of Europe's top clubs from potentially triggering the Brazilian's massive €200-million release clause.
The lithe superstar's former agent Wagner Ribeiro, who remains a close personal adviser to Neymar's father, said the forward has no intention of leaving the Camp Nou despite interest from some of the continent's biggest sides.
"There are three big clubs who want to sign Neymar and to pay Barcelona his €200-million clause," Ribeiro told Radio Jovem Pan, in quotes reported by ESPN FC.
"I cannot say any more in this conversation because it is confidential. I can only assure you that Neymar is happy in Barcelona."
The 24-year-old's current deal with the Blaugrana expires in June 2018.
Manchester United and Real Madrid have often been named as clubs who are monitoring the situation, though the likelihood of a deal with either has always seemed low.
Indeed, Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu said last month that the departure of Neymar - along with either Lionel Messi or Luis Suarez - was "impossible."
