Bobby Wood, take a bow, lad.
The 23-year-old Hawaiian-born striker rounded off a perfect first half for the United States Men's National Team in Tuesday's Group A match against Costa Rica, turning with his first touch and firing home a strike right past goalkeeper Patrick Pemberton's outstretched fingertips to give the Stars and Stripes a 3-0 lead.
Wood's goal came during a dominant display in the first 45 minutes of this must-win encounter that saw Clint Dempsey bag his 50th international goal early on before Jermaine Jones added a second with a perfect low-curling shot.
