Chelsea is pressing forward in its efforts to bring Alvaro Morata to Stamford Bridge.

Incoming boss Antonio Conte is reportedly an admirer of the Spanish striker, with both Matt Law of the Telegraph and Dominic Fifield of the Guardian reporting that the Blues are making the 23-year-old their priority in the summer transfer market.

Any potential move for Morata is complicated, of course, by Real Madrid's impending decision on his future. Juventus signed the budding star in 2014 for €22 million, though Madrid inserted a €35-million clause in the deal that would allow the club to buy him back this summer.

Los Blancos are widely expected to exercise that option, with the goal of selling him off immediately for a significant profit, believed to be in excess of €40 million.

Fifield reports that Chelsea is "hopeful" a deal with Madrid can be reached before Spain begins its Euro 2016 campaign; Morata and his compatriots open the tournament June 13 against the Czech Republic.

"Hopefully everything will be resolved before then, because it is uncomfortable to be helping your country with phone in hand," Morata recently admitted while discussing his future as it relates to the upcoming tournament.

The pacey forward, who scored 27 goals in the last two title-winning seasons with Juventus, would offer a significant upgrade on the likes of Alexandre Pato and Loic Remy, and could also supplant Diego Costa as the club's primary attacker.
