Lorient claims Liverpool, Dortmund submitted bids for Raphael Guerreiro

Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund look set to pick up where they left off in the Europa League and reopen their rivalry on the transfer market.

The pair, who clashed during the quarterfinal stage of the Europa League before Liverpool edged out the Germans in dramatic fashion, will battle each other once again for the signature of Lorient left-back Raphael Guerreiro.

The French club confirmed it has received offers from both teams, including two other unnamed clubs. However, vice-president Alex Hayes revealed that Lorient has yet to receive a bid that meets its valuation of Guerreiro, who was named to Portugal's provisional team ahead of the European Championship next month.

"No one wants to see Raphael leave, especially the president," Hayes told Ouest-France, as translated by Sky Sports.

"He will only be transferred if a club makes an offer that we can't refuse. For the moment four major foreign clubs, including Dortmund and Liverpool, have made an offer.

"The fourth one shouldn't take too long to be made (officially) but for the moment none of them satisfy us.

"We're calm. We don't need to sell to balance the books."

Guerreiro, 22, appeared in 34 Ligue 1 matches and managed to score three goals while setting up two assists.
