The pitcher's wife updated Twitter with her husband's status after he was admitted to Allegheny General Hospital for evaluation.
I just wanted to say THANK YOU for the outpouring of love & prayers for Ryan. He is stable & will be ok. Pirates will update more tomorrow.

Prior to Vogelsong's visit to the hospital, head athletic trainer Todd Tomczyk told MLB.com's Adam Berry the injury was to the "eye itself," including the orbital bone around it.
Volgelsong's injury had his teammates concerned during the contest.
Josh Harrison: "In the dugout, we all felt for Vogey. Let's finish this game strong and keep him in our prayers. Hopefully everything's OK."
