Normally priced much, much higher, Kipnis' salary takes a major hit ahead of an encounter with Chris Sale. It won't take much in order to return reasonable value.
Rutledge could draw into the lineup somewhere in the infield as a right-handed threat to Colorado LHP Jorge de la Rosa.
The Dodgers duo of Utley and Kendrick will likely face Daniel Wright for his MLB debut Tuesday. While that may seem enticing, Wright holds a 1.29 ERA through two Triple-A starts.
