Once "Jacare" trapped Vitor Belfort in his jaws, it led a nasty ending for the former light heavyweight champion at UFC 198 on Saturday.
Ronaldo Souza, whose nickname translates to "alligator" in English, dragged Belfort to the mat in the middle of the first round and did not relent until his opponent was a bloody mess:

Advancing to full mount with plenty of time to work, Souza used precise punches and elbows to claim a TKO-victory at 4:38 of the first round. Belfort is no slouch on the ground himself, which only made Souza's utter dominance that much more impressive.
The fight was billed as a possible title eliminator, and Souza has a strong case to challenge for the middleweight championship with a 6-1 record in the UFC. All but one of his UFC wins have come by knockout or submission.
