Haren trolls Shields with hilarious Bartolo tweet

Not everyone is basking in the glory of Bartolo Colon's first career home run. Former pitcher Dan Haren, for instance, is just happy it wasn't him who served up the historic blast.

Unfortunately, that distinction belongs to Padres right-hander James Shields, the 11-year veteran led the majors in home runs allowed last season and has struggled to pitch effectively since signing with San Diego in 2015.

Shields' woes continued Saturday, when Colon drilled a 90-mph fastball over the left field wall at Petco Park for the shot heard 'round the world.

Haren, who never faced Colon at the plate during his 19-year career, couldn't resist the opportunity to rub salt in Shields' wounds.

As for Shields, who will be remembered as the pitcher who gave up the oldest first career home run in major-league history, he'd rather not talk about it.

"Next question, man," Shields told reporters after the Mets' 6-3 win.
