Russell Wilson really wants the NBA back in Seattle
The contentious process of finding land for a new NBA-ready facility in Seattle hit another snag Monday when city council voted against a key aspect of an arena proposal.
One of the most visible Seattle basketball fans to react with disappointment was Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

Let's start a petition Seattle! @NBA#WhyNotUs
Seattle lost the SuperSonics in 2008 after former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz sold the team to Clay Bennett, who moved the team to Oklahoma City and renamed them the Thunder.
Wilson isn't the first Seahawk to join the bring-back-the-Sonics bandwagon. Richard Sherman voiced his opinion in a video post last year while donning a green-and-yellow throwback jacket.
