Picks

Round 2 | Round 3

21. Washington Redskins - Chris Jones, DT, Mississippi State

Washington will enter the 2016 season with a strong group of pass-rushers in place on the edge. Landing an interior presence like Jones, who can also shine against the run, could make for a highly productive front.

22. Houston Texans - Josh Doctson, WR, TCU

The top receiver in the draft falls further than expected, and the Texans come away with an absolute steal. Doctson and DeAndre Hopkins give Brock Osweiler a pair of explosive targets that can make plays in the vertical game.

23. Minnesota Vikings - Laquon Treadwell, WR, Ole Miss

Minnesota shouldn't be set on taking a receiver heading in, but this is a case where value perfectly meets need. Treadwell is a big-bodied target who can help Teddy Bridgewater take the next step in his development.

24. Cincinnati Bengals - Corey Coleman, WR, Baylor

A third straight receiver comes off the board with the Bengals adding a dynamic playmaker to complement A.J. Green. Coleman's big-play ability would do more than enough to make up for free-agent losses at the position.

25. Pittsburgh Steelers - Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson

One of the top cornerbacks falling to this spot is ideal for Pittsburgh. The secondary needs help in the worst way, and Alexander has shutdown potential at the next level.

26. Seattle Seahawks - Andrew Billings, DT, Baylor

Just when you thought the Seahawks' defense couldn't get any more dominant, Billings is a run-stuffing nose tackle with the athleticism to develop as a pass-rusher and remain on the field for third downs.

27. Green Bay Packers - Darron Lee, LB, Ohio State

It may be difficult for Green Bay to let Lee fall any lower than this. Not only does he fill a glaring need at linebacker, but the coaching staff can get creative in utilizing his elite athleticism.

28. Kansas City Chiefs - Ryan Kelly, C, Alabama

An addition on the interior could finally give Kansas City a relatively strong offensive line. Whether he plays center or kicks over to guard - allowing Mitch Morse to remain in the middle - Kelly can be a high-level starter early on.

* Patriots forfeit 29th overall pick as part of 'Deflategate' sanctions

29. Arizona Cardinals - Vernon Butler, DT, Louisiana Tech

The Cardinals' defensive front is already difficult enough for opposing offensive lines to handle. Having Butler line up at defensive end along with Calais Campbell could make it borderline impossible.

30. Carolina Panthers - Karl Joseph, S, West Virginia

Joseph's recovery from a season-ending knee injury is his only real question mark heading into the draft. Even if he's expected to miss the first few games, though, landing a tone-setter on the back end is worth the wait for Carolina.

31. Denver Broncos - Robert Nkemdiche, DT, Ole Miss

Off-field concerns about Nkemdiche could well push him to this spot. The Broncos capitalize on the first-round slide, landing a top 10 talent to replace Malik Jackson as an interior pass-rusher.
