Sunday's NBA Value Rankings
Here are theScore's value rankings for Sunday, April 24:
Point Guard
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Isaiah Thomas (BOS) | vs. ATL | 8 |
Steph Curry (GS) | at HOU | 7 |
Reggie Jackson (DET) | vs. CLE | 7 |
Kyrie Irving (CLE) | at DET | 6 |
Jeff Teague (ATL) | at BOS | 6 |
Marcus Smart (BOS) | vs. ATL | 6 |
Shaun Livingston (GS) | at HOU | 6 |
Dennis Schroder (ATL) | at BOS | 6 |
Matthew Dellavedova (CLE) | at DET | 5 |
Patrick Beverley (HOU) | vs. GS | 5 |
Jordan Farmar (MEM) | vs. SA | 5 |
Jason Terry (HOU) | vs. GS | 4 |
Tony Parker (SA) | vs. MEM | 4 |
Patty Mills (SA) | at MEM | 3 |
Aside from Game 2, Thomas has been a solid cash game play. He has done most of his damage by averaging 28.3 points per game. His assists and rebounds totals sit at a modest 10 and 11, respectively.
Livingston's starting role should be finished now as Curry is expected to return in Game 4. He can still return solid value, but the immense tournament value he supplied in Games 2 and 3 shouldn't be expected.
Schroder stands out as an intriguing tournament play after playing at least 20 minutes in Games 2 and 3. His Game 3 performance of 20 points in 22 minutes should earn him another chance to produce Sunday.
Shooting Guard
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
James Harden (HOU) | vs. GS | 8 |
Evan Turner (BOS) | vs. ATL | 8 |
Klay Thompson (GS) | at HOU | 7 |
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (DET) | vs. CLE | 7 |
J.R. Smith (CLE) | at DET | 6 |
Kyle Korver (ATL) | at BOS | 6 |
Danny Green (SA) | at MEM | 5 |
Vince Carter (MEM) | vs. SA | 5 |
Manu Ginobili (SA) | at MEM | 5 |
Xavier Munford (MEM) | vs. SA | 4 |
Iman Shumpert (CLE) | at DET | 4 |
Harden's upside is obviously unmatched, much like his salary. He's a legitimate play in either cash or tournament fields.
Turner's well-rounded play once again came through in Game 3 as he produced 17 points, seven assists, and five steals. He's a nice cash game play with a flair of upside.
After an 0-for-7 performance in Game 1, Korver has made five deep balls in back-to-back games. His cheap salary makes him viable in either format, but his boom-or-bust style of play is best suited for tournaments.

Small Forward
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Kawhi Leonard (SA) | at MEM | 7 |
Matt Barnes (MEM) | vs. SA | 7 |
Kent Bazemore (ATL) | at BOS | 6 |
Jae Crowder (BOS) | vs. ATL | 6 |
Tobias Harris (DET) | vs. CLE | 6 |
LeBron James (CLE) | at DET | 6 |
Marcus Morris (DET) | vs. CLE | 5 |
Andre Iguodala (GS) | at HOU | 5 |
Michael Beasley (HOU) | vs. GS | 5 |
Thabo Sefolosha (ATL) | at BOS | 5 |
Harrison Barnes (GS) | at HOU | 5 |
Trevor Ariza (HOU) | vs. GS | 5 |
Tony Allen (MEM) | vs. SA | 5 |
Stanley Johnson (DET) | vs. CLE | 4 |
Lance Stephenson (MEM) | vs. SA | 4 |
Leonard and Barnes were both spectacular in their respective Game 3s and have the ability to put together back-to-back elite performances. However, it may be best to reserve both to tournament play because of their up-and-down performances through the first three games.
Bazemore, Crowder, and Harris are strong cash game options with Bazemore owning the cheapest price tag.
LeBron obviously has big-time upside, but his salary requires a triple-double to return the value DFS players would truly want from him.
The options after James lack much incentive for selection.
Power Forward
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Jonas Jerebko (BOS) | vs. ATL | 8 |
Donatas Motiejunas (HOU) | vs. GS | 7 |
Amir Johnson (BOS) | vs. ATL | 7 |
Tristan Thompson (CLE) | at DET | 6 |
JaMychal Green (MEM) | vs. SA | 6 |
Kevin Love (CLE) | at DET | 6 |
Draymond Green (GS) | at HOU | 6 |
Zach Randolph (MEM) | vs. SA | 6 |
LaMarcus Aldridge (SA) | at MEM | 5 |
Paul Millsap (ATL) | vs. BOS | 5 |
Boris Diaw (SA) | at MEM | 4 |
Mike Scott (ATL) | at BOS | 4 |
David West (SA) | at MEM | 4 |
Power forward is the position to find a bargain play with names like Jerebko and Motiejunas producing big games recently. However, DFS players will be rolling the dice on the first few options here as they are extremely reliant on increased playing time. Monitor starting lineups and any pre-game reports regarding playing time.
More proven options in Green, Randolph, Aldridge, and Millsap have all failed to return strong value on their hefty price tags thus far. They may provide more comfort due to their reputations, but in DFS that doesn't mean too much,

Center
Name | Opponent | Value |
---|---|---|
Al Horford (ATL) | at BOS | 7 |
Dwight Howard (HOU) | vs. GS | 7 |
Andrew Bogut (GS) | at HOU | 6 |
Andre Drummond (DET) | vs. CLE | 5 |
Tim Duncan (SA) | at MEM | 5 |
Marreese Speights (GS) | at HOU | 5 |
Chris Andersen (MEM) | vs. SA | 4 |
Jared Sullinger (BOS) | vs. ATL | 3 |
Horford has been a solid cash game option in all three games thus far. He has double-double potential and won't entirely break the bank.
Howard is another cash game option with double-doubles in all three games. He has, however, failed to eclipse the 15 point mark in the series.
Bogut is a tournament target whose value is heavily dependent on minutes. In Game 2, he played 27 minutes contributing 10 points, seven rebounds, three blocks, and two assists. In Games 1 and 3, though, Bogut failed to play over 20 minutes.
