Eddie Lacy's hard work appears to be paying off.
The veteran running back, who entered the offseason looking to shed a considerable amount of weight, arrived at Green Bay Packers offseason workouts Monday having lost 15-18 pounds, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.
A report surfaced early in the offseason suggesting the Packers had asked Lacy to lose 30 pounds, but head coach Mike McCarthy later issued a denial.
Regardless of the goal, working out with P90X founder Tony Horton may now have Lacy in the best shape of his NFL career.
The quickness he should regain as a result will go a long way toward his chances of rebounding from a 2015 season in which he managed just 758 rushing yards in sporadic playing time.
