Miguel Sano had a point.
The young Minnesota Twins slugger was ejected from Sunday's contest by home plate umpire John Hirschbeck for arguing what appears to have been a rather dubious called third strike.
This is the Sano at bat where he got ejected. Strike 3 called is the one way outside, but let's blame Sano... pic.twitter.com/2uWc0YTReA

And here is Hirshbeck's zone yesterday. That fastball strike 3 call to Sano really stands out pic.twitter.com/eFUSNYkrde

Regardless of pitch location, the struggles of Sano and his team likely contributed to his temper boiling over Sunday. The talented 22-year-old is hitting just .158/.273/.158 through the season's opening weekend, while Minnesota remains one of two winless teams.
Of course, Hirschbeck had a role to play in escalating the incident, too. It's also not the first time the veteran arbiter's found himself in a confrontation with one of baseball's bright young stars.
