Von Miller: If it was up to me, Broncos would have signed Manziel

The Denver Broncos are in need of a starting quarterback, and Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller has a pretty good idea who he wants under center.

"If I had to make my decision on it, (Johnny Manziel) would already be with the Broncos," Miller told reporters Friday in College Station, Texas.

Manziel and Miller both went to college at Texas A&M. Miller has been supportive of the idea of playing with his fellow Aggie in the past, but also said he doesn't have any say in who the Broncos add.

"We've got guys in the front office who make those decisions," said Miller. "And they put us in championships with those decisions, so I'm just going to follow those guys and have those guys take the lead."

The Broncos currently have Mark Sanchez sitting atop their depth chart, with rumors they could still acquire Colin Kaepernick from San Francisco 49ers or Josh McCown from the Cleveland Browns. They're also expected to pick a quarterback at some point in the NFL draft.

In all likelihood, considering Manziel's current legal issues and limited NFL production, the former Texas A&M quarterback will not receive an offer from the Broncos.
