For the first time in half a century, the entire country will get a chance to watch the Egg Bowl.

The SEC announced Monday the Nov. 29 game between No. 1 Mississippi State and No. 11 Ole Miss will be played on CBS, according to USA Today's Hugh Kellenberger. 

It will mark the first time since 1964 the annual rivalry game will be viewed on a national platform.

CBS's broadcast of the game means the Iron Bowl between rivals Alabama and Auburn, which has consistently been on CBS in recent history, will be aired on ESPN the same day.

The Rebels lead the overall series 61-43-6.
