Report: Northwestern transfer Venric Mark eyeing Texas Tech, D-II schools

Former Northwestern standout running back Venric Mark doesn't exactly have his pick of the litter when it comes to finding another place to play his college ball.
Mark's plan is to walk on at Texas Tech, or attend a Division-II school, according to Jeremy Fowler of CBSSports.com.
Texas Tech would likely be a good fit, as Mark's mother lives in Lubbock, and that would help facilitate a waiver. With that said, the Red Raiders have given out all of their scholarships.
It is more likely Mark ends up playing in D-II for the season, then entering the NFL draft.
Mark rushed for 1,366 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2012. He was limited to three games due to injury last season.
