Michigan's Jeremy Clark denied 6th year of eligibility by NCAA
Jeremy Clark's college football career officially came to an end Monday.
Michigan's senior cornerback was denied a sixth year of eligibility by the NCAA, according to Mark Snyder of The Detroit Free Press. Clark suffered a torn ACL against Penn State on Sept. 24, and had applied for a medical hardship waver to try and save his senior season.
According to NCAA regulations, in order to qualify for a medical hardship, "the injury or illness occurs when the student-athlete has not participated in more than three contests or dates of competition (whichever is applicable to that sport) or 30 percent (whichever number is greater) of the institution's scheduled or completed contests."
Clark appeared in four of Michigan's 13 games, meaning he exceeded the limit by a measly one percent.
With his days at Michigan over, Clark will now turn his attention to the NFL Draft, as he plans his training regimen.
