Former Michigan QB Shane Morris transfers to Central Michigan

After coming to Michigan as a highly touted four-star quarterback in 2013, Shane Morris will now finish his career at Central Michigan, the southpaw announced Saturday.
After starting the Wolverines' bowl game against Kansas State as a freshman, Morris battled injuries and was never able to wrestle back the starting job fully.
Redshirting in 2015, Morris lost the quarterback battle to Wilton Speight in 2016 and only attempted five passes for 45 yards.
Morris will now play for the Chippewas - the first team he ever played against when he performed mop-up duty in Michigan's 2013 season opener.
As a graduate transfer, Morris will be eligible immediately, filling the void left by the departure of four-year starter Cooper Rush.
