Iowa's C.J. Beathard: Subpar day in defensive showdown
Beathard completed 17 of his 33 pass attempts for 153 yards in Saturday's game against Wisconsin.
Analysis:
While Beathard didn't turn the ball over, he completed just over 50 percent of his passes and didn't throw a touchdown pass, either. It's just the second time this season he didn't pass for a touchdown, but that's likely a product of facing one of the better defenses in college football. Things don't get any easier next week against a Penn State defense allowing just 183.0 yards per game passing this season.
