Harbaugh to cash in steak house discount after blowout win
Don't count Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh as someone who would turn down a steak.
After Ann Arbor-based restaurant Ruth's Chris Steak House offered a promotion before Michigan's demolition of Rutgers, Harbaugh is taking up the resulting offer of 50 percent off his meal.
“My wife Sarah and I are going to Ruth’s Chris this week - I want to thank Buzz Goebel (the general manager) for getting us in, because it’s all sold out,” the Wolverines' head man said on his radio show Monday. "
The restaurant posted on its Facebook page Saturday morning, offering a percentage discount off customers' bills for every point the Wolverines won by. Michigan ended up defeating the Scarlet Knights 78-0, but the promotion was capped at 50 percent.
And what did Harbaugh say when he heard of the promotion? "It tickled me."
