Boise State's Sumner-Gardner suspended 4 games for academic issues

Boise State will be without Dylan Sumner-Gardner for the first four games of the 2016 season, after the university suspended the safety for failing to meet NCAA football academic eligibility requirements.
The move, announced by head coach Bryan Harsin on Tuesday, means the redshirt sophomore will miss contests against Louisiana-Lafayette, Washington State, Oregon State, and Utah State. He'll be eligible to return for the Oct. 7 matchup with New Mexico.
The Texas native started the first four games of the 2015 season before suffering a season-ending injury against Virginia. He had 14 tackles in those four contests.
