Michigan State is down a pair of defensive linemen, as Craig Evans and Montez Sweat have left the team.
The Spartans confirmed the duo's departure, saying they're no longer members of the program because of personal reasons.
Evans recorded 21 tackles and one sack last season. Sweat didn't dent the stat sheet after Week 1, and ran into trouble off the field.
Sweat was in "limbo" for most of the past year, according to head coach Mark Dantonio. He was suspended for most of the fall.

Both players were expected to compete for more playing time in 2016. The Spartans lost three defensive linemen to graduation at the end of the 2015 season.
