NCAA Game Summary - Troy at Louisiana

Lafayette, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - Terrance Broadway had two passing and also ran for a pair of scores to lead the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns to a 41-36 victory over the Troy Trojans.

Broadway was 8-for-13 passing and also threw an interception, he also carried the ball 14 times for 63 yards.

Elijah McGuire carried the ball seven times for 82 yards and a touchdown and also had a 60-yard touchdown reception for the Cajuns, who have won seven straight (7-2, 4-0 Sun Belt).

Corey Robinson was 25-of-44 for 271 yards and a touchdown and Eric Thomas caught five passes for 93 yards and a touchdown for the Trojans (5-5, 3-3).

Brandon Burks ran 15 times for 126 yards and Jordan Chunn added 17 carries for 43 yards and a touchdown.

Will Scott capped a nine-play, 72-yard drive with a 39-yard field goal on the games' opening drive.

McGuire got the Ragin' Cajuns on the board with a 38-yard touchdown run off the right tackle. 90 seconds later, Darryl Surgent returned Stephen Brauchle's punt 67 yards for a touchdown and a 14-3 Louisiana lead.

After converting on 3rd-and-24 on the ensuing possession, Scott nailed a 53- yard field goal to pull Troy within 14-6.

Broadway, though, connected with McGuire for a 60-yard touchdown to make it a 15-point game.

Troy found the end zone early in the second on Jordan Chunn's 1-yard TD plunge, but Broadway broke off an 11-yard run on the ensuing possession to put Louisiana on top 28-13.

The Trojans scored a pair of quick touchdowns to get right back in the game. First, Khary Franklin took a hand off, rushed to the right side then threw a 6-yard touchdown to B.J. Chitty.

Camren Hudson then picked off Broadway on the ensuing possession and returned it 65 yards for the score. Troy, though, couldn't convert the two-point conversion to tie the game.

Effrem Reed's 36-yard reception gave Louisiana a 35-26 lead at the break.

Scott nailed a 21-yarder near the midway point of the third to make it a one- score game, but Broadway's second rushing score of the game made it 41-29 just three seconds into the fourth.

Robinson's 2-yard touchdown to Eric Thomas accounted for the final margin.
