Oregon men's basketball coach Dana Altman has been voluntarily dismissed from a civil lawsuit by the victim of an alleged sexual assault involving three former Ducks players.

The university confirmed Saturday that Altman had been dismissed from the legal action, reports Matt Prehm of 247Sports.

"We are pleased that the claims against Dana Altman have been dismissed, and we look forward to bringing this matter to a close. We cannot make additional statements at this time," the school said.

Altman also released a statement, thanking the school and Ducks fans for their support during the ordeal.

"On Friday, the plaintiff voluntarily dismissed her lawsuit against me," he said. "I appreciate the support I have received from the University and its fans. I look forward to the upcoming season."

The lawsuit had alleged that Altman and other school personnel knew Providence transfer Brandon Austin had been suspended due to allegations of sexual misconduct before he was recruited to Oregon.

Austin, Damyean Dotson, and Dominic Artis were accused of sexually assaulting a fellow Oregon student in 2014.

They were eventually dismissed from the basketball program, and later banned from campus.

The federal Title IX lawsuit with the university is still pending.
