Report: Florida's Billy Donovan will accept Thunder coaching job if offered
Scott Brooks' vacated seat is still warm, but the Oklahoma City Thunder have wasted little time in hunting for his replacement.
The Thunder were said to be interested in pursuing an NCAA coach, with Connecticut's Kevin Ollie and Florida's Billy Donovan the first names to surface.
Ollie, who ended his playing career with the Thunder in 2010, reportedly withdrew his name from consideration, leaving Donovan as the nominal frontrunner.
And unlike Ollie, Donovan appears interested in the gig and will accept it if it's offered, according to ESPN's Jeff Goodman.
In his 21-year college coaching career - the last 19 of which have come on the Gators' bench - Donovan has compiled a record of 502-206, made 14 NCAA Tournament appearances, advanced to five Final Fours and won two National Championships.
The Thunder are also rumored to be considering San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Ettore Messina for the job.
