George Washington's second-leading scorer Kethan Savage transferring
The core four is no more.
Kethan Savage has announced that he intends to transfer from George Washington, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.
The sophomore was one of four players that joined the program in 2012, along with Patricio Garino, Joe McDonald and Kevin Larsen - all who made up the top four scorers on the team this season.
Savage finished second on the team with 11.7 points per game to go with 4.8 boards and 2.3 assists.
"We appreciate the contributions Kethan made to the program over the last three years," head coach Mike Lonergan said.
Though sudden, the move makes sense for the sophomore. Savage started the first 25 games of the season at point guard before moving to the bench for the final 10 games. He will presumably transfer to a program where he'll start full-time.
