North Carolina's Kennedy Meeks may miss Sweet Sixteen matchup vs. Wisconsin
North Carolina coach Roy Williams is preparing to take on Wisconsin without starting forward Kennedy Meeks.
Williams stated on his weekly radio show that Meeks would probably not be available against the No. 1 Badgers in the Sweet Sixteen due to injury, C.L. Brown of ESPN reported.
"They're not completely ruling him out and they're not saying he can play. Let me say it that way, I don't think we'll have him, but we'll just have to wait and see," Williams said.
Meeks suffered a sprained left knee in the second half of the Tar Heels 87-78 win over Arkansas.
He scored nine points with four rebounds prior to his exit.
Williams stated Meeks's playing status is reliant on his practice status on Wednesday. He didn't practice with the team Monday.
The 6-foot-9, 280-pound sophomore is averaging 11.6 points and 7.4 rebounds.
