Kentucky is even money to win the NCAA Tournament

Jamie Rhodes-USA TODAY Sports

That one person in the USA Today Coaches Poll who doesn't think Kentucky is the best college basketball team in the country is probably very, very lonely.

Every other voter - on that poll and the AP Top 25 - has identified the 13-0 Wildcats as the top team in the nation, and it's really no surprise. They entered the season as the favorite to take the national championship, they play as many as nine potential NBA players and they've yet to look vulnerable, even in four games against ranked teams.

The voters agree, the KenPom rankings agree and now Vegas agrees, to a startling degree.

Multiple outlets now have Kentucky posted as even-odds favorites to win the NCAA Tournament, which seems insane. There's an even chance that Kentucky takes it as anyone else taking it, give or take a few percentage points, and it's difficult to remember a team ever being so heavily favored. Pushing the matter further is that Kentucky is just 1.5-to-1 to enter the tournament undefeated and 5-to-1 to finish the tournament still undefeated.

That's an incredible amount of respect and speaks to the perceived gap between the Wildcats and everyone else. The games are played for a reason, though, and if you find yourself doubting Kentucky, here are the odds available to you for other top teams:

Team Odds
Kentucky 1/1
Duke 15/2
Wisconsin 10/1
Arizona 12/1
Virginia 12/1
Gonzaga 14/1
Louisville 16/1
Texas 20/1
Villanova 25/1
Florida 33/1
Iowa State 33/1
Kansas 33/1
UNC 33/1
