3 epic individual performances from the NCAA tournament

Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

Some players disappointed in the NCAA tournament, but others left a mark that will remain entrenched in our memories for a while.

Here are three epic individual performances from this year's installment of March Madness:

Jordan Bell - Elite Eight

It might've been the greatest 11-point performance in NCAA tournament history. Despite barely reaching the double-digit mark, Jordan Bell completely dominated Kansas in the Elite Eight, getting started early with a tone-setting dunk in the opening minutes and finishing the game with 13 rebounds and eight blocks in the bank as well. Bell helped send the Jayhawks packing from the tournament, and incredibly made teammate Tyler Dorsey - who registered 27 points in the Oregon win - an afterthought.

De'Aaron Fox - Elite Eight

Lonzo Ball was the talk of the town coming in, but De'Aaron Fox was the man everyone was boasting about going out. The freshman guard was easily the best player on the court when Kentucky met UCLA in the Elite Eight, as he notched a career-high 39 points on an ever-efficient 13-of-20 shooting performance. Just as noteworthy was Fox's performance on defense, as he helped the Wildcats limit Ball to 10 points on 4-of-10 from the field in what turned out to be the Bruins star's final collegiate game.

Kennedy Meeks - Final Four

Only three players scored 10 or more points in North Carolina's Final Four win, but Kennedy Meeks made up for it by pouring in 25 points and collecting 14 boards in the Tar Heels' one-point win over Oregon. The scoring output was twice Meeks' season average, and tied his career high. Of course, Meeks also sealed the game-winning rebound in the dying seconds of the contest. There wouldn't have been a national championship for North Carolina if not for Meeks' splendid outing.
