Saturday's best game was ... Air Force vs. UNLV?

Stephen R. Sylvanie-USA TODAY Sports

Saturday featured a packed slate of games, with almost all of the top 25 in action, but the most dramatic contest of the day was undoubtedly the matchup between Air Force and UNLV.

A battle between the seventh- and ninth-place teams in the Mountain West Conference may not seem like a marquee affair, but the two teams presented three of the most dramatic moments of the season thus far.

Forcing OT

With Air Force leading by three and just over two seconds to play, the Falcons had to feel pretty good about their chances for a massive road win. Jovan Mooring (remember that name for later) had other ideas, as the junior banked home a fadeaway triple as time expired, sending the game to overtime.

Mooring's encore performance

Mooring - I told you to remember that name - apparently wasn't satisfied with just one insane triple on the night, as the 6-foot-2 guard saved his best for the first overtime frame.

With the score tied at 67, Mooring held the ball well beyond the arc as both the shot-clock and game-clock wound down. Right before the Rebels would have been hit with a shot-clock violation, Mooring pulled up from the half-court logo, and drilled the go-ahead triple. With Air Force needing to go the length of the court in just 3.2 seconds, there was surely no way it could force double overtime, right?

Wrong

Jacob Van showed that 3.2 seconds was plenty of time to pull off the third incredible triple in five minutes of action, going the length of the court to bank home a ridiculous running 3-pointer at the horn. The amazing shot forced a second overtime period, and even brought applause from the opposing crowd. Despite the incredible drama, the person running the Air Force Twitter feed was somehow able to keep their composure and Tweet out the "undersell" of the year.

So, what does get the person running the Air Force Twitter feed excited?

How about a 3-pointer with 4.1 seconds left to cut the UNLV lead to three in the second overtime. It would eventually prove meaningless as the Falcons would lose, but it would at least get some excitement.

The two teams will try to replicate the dramatics in a month's time at Air Force on Feb. 22nd.
