NCAA Game Summary - South Dakota at South Dakota State

Brookings, SD (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan Dykstra tallied a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds as the South Dakota State Jackrabbits easily coasted past the South Dakota Coyotes, 75-61. in a Summit League showdown at Frost Arena.

Brayden Carlson scored 15 points with three steals, and Jake Bittle chipped in 13 points and seven rebounds for South Dakota State (18-11, 10-4 Summit). Cody Larson added 12 points, and Chad White ended the game with 10 for the Jackrabbits, who finished the regular season on a two-game winning streak and with a 10-4 record in conference play.

Brandon Bos scored 21 points, hitting 12-of-13 from the free-throw line for South Dakota (12-17, 6-8). Tyler Flack contributed 16 points and five rebounds in the loss, which was the second in a row for the Coyotes.

South Dakota State hit 42.3 percent of its field goal tries in the first half, and went 12-of-14 from the free-throw line to help the Jackrabbits take a 37-24 lead into the intermission. South Dakota shot a dismal 26.9 percent from the floor in the frame.

The Jackrabbits improved to 47.8 percent shooting in the second half, this time knocking down 13-of-15 from the charity stripe. The Coyotes improved their shooting accuracy, but only slightly, to 30.8 percent from the field, but did hit 18-of-21 from the free-throw line.

SDSU held a 30-8 advantage in points in the paint, and outrebounded the Coyotes, 40-29. South Dakota won the battle in bench points, 39-6.
