NCAA Game Summary - Tennessee State at Morehead State

Morehead, KY (SportsNetwork.com) - Patrick Miller poured in a career-high 38 points, including the game-winning 3-pointer with two seconds left to lift the Tennessee State Tigers to a thrilling 70-68 victory over the Morehead State Eagles in Ohio Valley Conference action at Johnson Arena.

Miller shot 12-of-19 from the field, including 4-of-5 from 3-point range, and made 10-of-11 at the free-throw line for TSU (5-24, 4-11 OVC) in his sixth 30- point performance of the season. M.J. Rhett added 12 points for the Tigers, who have won back-to-back games for the first time all season.

For Morehead State (19-11, 10-5), losers of two in a row, Angelo Warner shot 12-of-13 from the charity stripe en route to 19 points, while Drew Kelly pitched in 15 points and Chad Posthumus corralled 10 rebounds.

TSU shot just 39.3 percent from the field in the first half but made 12-of-18 at the free-throw line, as it led at the break, 34-31. Morehead State shot 42.9 percent from the floor in the opening 20 minutes.

The Tigers extended their lead to 14 midway through the second half, but the Eagles climbed all the way back to take a one-point advantage, 68-67, after Warner had a 1-of-2 trip to the free-throw line with seven seconds to play. TSU answered on its final possession with Miller's dramatic game-winner and Morehead State's desperation attempt at the buzzer did not fall.

Morehead State was plagued by 17 turnovers, while TSU had just seven miscues itself.
