NCAA Game Summary - Hawaii at UC Davis

Davis, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Christian Standhardinger scored 22 points, leading all five starters in double figures, as the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors secured a 90-73 win over the UC Davis Aggies in Big West Conference play at the Pavilion.

Standhardinger, who registered a double-double by clearing 10 rebounds, also handed out five assists and made five steals for the Rainbow Warriors (13-5, 2-2 Big West) as they won for the second time in as many games. Isaac Fotu accounted for 20 points, Garrett Nevels 16, Brandon Spearman 15 points and Keith Shamburger 14, the latter shooting 4-of-7 behind the 3-point line.

The Aggies (6-14, 1-4) were paced by Corey Hawkins with 21 points, but he also turned the ball over six times without the benefit of a single assist. Iggy Nujic pitched in with 17 points in only 19 minutes off the bench, while Ryan Sypkens and Georgi Funtarov both tallied 10 points as the team lost for the fourth time in five games.

Both teams shot better than 53 percent from the field in the first half, but even with a 5-of-11 showing beyond the arc in the period, UC Davis still trailed at the break by a 45-34 score. Part of the issue for the hosts was that they were outscored at the free-throw line in the frame, 11-1.

Hawaii pulled away in the second half with an impressive 64.0 percent from the floor, including 5-of-8 on the perimeter.

Davis, which led by as many as seven points in the first half, was beaten on the glass (30-22) and turned the ball over 14 times, leading to 21 points for the visitors.
