NCAA Game Summary - Eastern Kentucky at Tennessee State

Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Glenn Cosey led the Eastern Kentucky Colonels with team-highs of 24 points, six rebounds and five assists in a 94-78 victory over the Tennessee State Tigers during an Ohio Valley Conference matchup at the Gentry Center.

Tarius Johnson scored 13 for the Colonels (14-6, 5-2 OVC) who have now won their last four games. Isaac McGlone and Marcus Lewis each scored 11 and Eric Stutz added 10.

Patrick Miller had an admirable game for the Tigers (2-20, 1-7) as he scored 33 points on 12-of-19 shooting from the floor to go along with six rebounds. Jordan Gaither came off the bench and tallied 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting from the field.

The first half ended with the Colonels up 45-32, although the Tigers hit a larger percentage (.565) of their shots from the field as compared to the Colonels (.519) The difference in the margin was due to the Colonels hitting eight 3-pointers to just two for the Tigers.

The Colonels closed out the game in the second half by shooting 57.7 percent from the floor, including 5-of-10 from beyond the arc.

The two teams were fairly even from the floor, with the Colonels making 29 field goals on 54.7 percent shooting and the Tigers making 27 on 55.1 percent, but the Colonels converted eight more foul shots than the Tigers and four additional 3-pointers.
